Bike for Miles.

Today everyone finished moving in. I didn't get to see Tammy, but I saw all my other peoples. We hung out, and ended up having some giant Ice Cream social followed by a dance. We ended up leaving to IV to visit Susi. We met her sorority sisters, and decided that we didn't want to go to some giant party in IV. The walk was simply too long. I came back and then the fire alarm went off. Some lame accident. Today was tiring. Classes begin Thursday; I don't have my books yet. I did a lot of bike riding. I'm tired. News: Joy Division fans check out this movie.

So today was move in day for me from 3 to 5 pm. There was a giant storm in LA today and we ended up taking a minivan to fit all my things into the car. Anyway we ended up getting here around 4:30. I was helped getting all my things into my room. I have a singe. It’s pretty chill. I get to run by my own schedule. Classes don’t start until Thursday so I have a couple days to get accommodated. My parents left around 8. I then met up with Susi who is a fourth year and I met at STEP. Moonie came by shortly after with her roommate Jennifer. We went out for coffee at this place called Java Jones. I got a white hot chocolate. Not bad. We came back and met up with Alex (snakebites). We then chilled my room and chilled with random people from the hall and Moonie called some her friends. We sat and played some random Korean game (which is played with little dice looking blocks). Anyway, we decided to go to every floor at the San Miguel residence hall (there are 8). We met a bunch of people and then got tired and came back to my room. Moonie went through the whole Gossip Girls episode. We now have a date to watch it Wednesday. Tomorrow Gisella, and Edgar, and Danielle, and Keeshia, and Melissa, and Tammy, and a bunch of other people come. There’s also a bunch of parties tomorrow we have our eye on. (ps the pictures are smaller because they don’t fit)

First Post.

9/18/07.

Woo. So I started a blog for all of you to see how interesting my life is. Hahah. Well today I woke up early, bused it to the dentist and found out that I need braces. Apparantly I have an overbite, which I find bizzare because alll my life (at least I think) I’ve bitten the same way and all of a sudden I am diagnosed with this problem. Anyway, after I bused it to Brue’s house and sat out because niether Tony nor I could get a hold of him. After snooping around, Tony came by and picked me up. We went to the Un Urban Cafe which is like on 33rd and Pico. Amazing place by the way. I had just watched Across the Universe (which I highly reccommend) the night before so I felt like I was in the set at this Cafe. They have Chai Lattes to die for, seriously if you’re ever there try one. We decided to go back to Brue’s and chill. We thought it would be clever to learn a song the same day and go back to the Cafe around 8:30 to cover it. We started learning “Stand by Me”, which failed miserably because the vocals have an odd time signature, and then we half-way learned “I Don’t Wanna Grow Up” by Tom Waits. Zarah called us up and we decided to go over. We decided that we were too happy to cover the song so we just chilled in her neat little Venice alley and walked over to Cafe 50’s on Lincoln. I had a Grilled Cheese, some fries, and a Vanilla Milkshake which is a mind blowing combination. We then walked back to Zarah’s to get the car and we went down to Venice Canals which are quite a sight if you’re never been there. Europe anyone? The Moon was intense and the night ended exquisitely satisfying.

Ok um today I woke up early and was dropped off at Honey’s house. I waited for her to get ready and we then drove over to Audra’s to pick her up. We had a bit of a parallel parking adventure (meaning it took us like 5 minutes to TRY to get into a spot). Hey I don’t blame her, I haven’t even started driving. Anyway we drove all the way down to Ameoba where we did some purchases and we browsed through the albums with Keith Morris by our side (for those of you who were deprived children, Keith Morris is the lead singer of the punk band The Circle Jerks). For some reason I picked out a Beatles poster and precisely the one I picked had run out, and the had every other poster (there was like 10 posters and the one I wanted was out). After handling our bussiness we went down to Shakey’s on Santa Monica Blvd (in Hollywood Area not the one on Berkeley) and we were in luck; it was buffet hour. We went crazy (not really it just makes this sound way better than it really is). Someone in our party decided that the both the cheese and the salt were sugar while sweetening their Ice Tea (if you ask me it was an rare case of Blonde moment at its best). We ate, and decided to go give melrose a try. We ended up hanging out with Lionel Richie at some trendy glasses shop. I will tell you that his Mercedes was parked arguably worse than Honey’s earlier today. We went in to UO and bought completely uses things from the sale section (ie. Lawn Gnomes; Sex Games; Jesus Key Holders ect you get the idea). We ended up heading back to Honey’s and hastly decided to go over on Wilshire to my old work to see if Honey and Audra could get a job. They were in there for an hour being interviewed, while I sat in the car and naped. My dad ended up picking me up on Princeton and Santa Monica and we head over to the Grove on 3rd and Fairfax, where I got my MacBook Pro(which is really sexy by the way). After he went home, and I met up with Sari and Holly at the Grove. We went into Forever 21 where the girls made some purchases. We were for some reason hungry so we head up to Canter’s (this Jewish diner on Fairfax). There we bought egg creams and pickles and pie. What to do next? We headed over to the Hustler store where we felt in our right to visit the 18 and over section. We saw some interesting artifacts. After a long day we decided to part our ways. The night was relaxing.
