A Snapshot of San Francisco
We arrived late Thursday night from Santa Barbara and had Indian food at the infamous Nann and Curry. We then continued to explore most of San Francisco including Union Square, Pier 39, Haight & Ashbury etc. Definitely breath taking scenes. Well, I'm 20 now...whatever that means. Should I be this indifferent? Here are some snapshots. Some serious. Some fun. All memories.

The days are
long. Work, school, work, magazine, school have taken over my life. Hopefully this quarter eases up. Tomorrow I will be taking off for San Francisco. I am taking some friends (when I say 'I' I mean Jose is driving) to stay the weekend in SF. We will be staying at the Golden Gate Holiday Inn and will have a great view of the city at night. Hailey, Sandy, are coming with us... possibly Maria, and we will be meeting up with Jose's friends there. I won't come back until Sunday... to an essay, and a lot of reading. All that's left is to make the most of it...
I secretly want to see 17 again. It's always fun to see Disney kids break out of their candy coated shells. HSM was a total Uptopian ideal of what teenage life is really like... Zac Efron seems like he's slowly peeling away the cheesiness... but hey it was written for a younger audience who can't tell between real life and an ideal life.
Travel and big cities, make me feel good...and so do staying at hotels. It's such a release from all the stresses back home. SF, here I come.

Ilsa Vista
COACHELLA
This water ride looking thing was cool. It sprayed water on you, and considering the weather... it was perfect.
These lights were pretty insane. They lit up toward the night. They looked like a 3D bed of glowing eggs.
The ceiling of this walk-in art piece was lit pretty well, so the shot didn't come out too bad.
On the way, we saw these windmills. I they build more of them soon. They not only look peaceful, they do great things.
Dusk.
This snake blew out fire at night.

The weekend
ended with Moonie's birthday bash. Let's just say we're never too old for Disney...or maybe some of us are. I spent the weekend Coachella, Pasadena, and all over LA. Coachella pics coming soon. I can never get too much sleep.
We had no way of tying the piƱata up high and hitting it, so Moonie destroyed it... and its guts spewed sweets.
Again, I can't get over lights. They can be so pretty and starlike.
Birthday hats were always so undrated growing up. These ones were awesome.
This is what Sunday afternoons look like.

The Week
is over. I just finished a test. Not half as bad as I thought it would be. I should be heading to Coachella early tomorrow morning so I'm having second thoughts about going out tonight.I'm pretty stoked. The day should be an awesome experience.
Last night was the Kimya Dawson show, I didn't even get to see the beginning because before the show even started I headed to the Hub to see Infected Mushroom.
We'll see what happens.

I've come to
the realization that this quarter is really strange. My schedule is all spread out with upper division Spanish classes and oh so ever-growing work hours. I've been kind of yanked out of seeing a lot of people. I hope it gets better. Here's some eye candy:
I took this shot at a Purlieu look book photo shoot in Malibu we did a while back. I find this picture to be awesome. I never showed it to anyone and it was just sitting in my iphoto. Devon Weiss is on the left.
This one's just a random candid picture of Carina. Random is always good. Especially dancing random.

I've also been contemplating getting some ink done. I want something subtle, aesthetically pleasing and am debating where to position it. This particular shot shows his cool back tat...but I was thinking maybe my wrist, or on my arm? Decisions, decisions...

All good things must end
Alan's goodbye potluck was last night. There was a good selection of different types of snack foods, along with vegetarian spaghetti, Arizona iced tea, powdered doughnuts, chips and salsa, enchiladas, the list goes on etc. The night ended well. Alan will be leaving to Arizona soon to pursue music. When the stars were put up they were all lit up, but some of them burnt out after a while, possibly the same way his love for Santa Barbara burnt out after while. A toast to new beginnings.
If there were an ad contest for the Rubik cube, I think I'd enter it. Alan can solve it with his eyes closed; I never even got close.

Spontanuity brings out the best in us...
There's this little Mexican food joint right off of State street that can really fool you if you've never been there. Their selection is one of the best, and I've tried most of the Mexican restaurants in Santa Barbara so I kid you not. Moonie decided to make David a sign, and while she was at it, she decided to include some new friends she had met 5 minutes before the picture. Well, why not?
Growing up, I wasn't a really big fan of robots, although I did have some of those cars that turned into robots, and those kicked ass. This one looks familiar, so I decided to shoot it.
I have this thing for little lights at night. They do wonders for mood lighting, except it's a little difficult to get a perfect shot without a tripod.
Sandy and I before our burrito.
